AFTER-SCHOOL YOGA — YOGA & MINDFULNESS (3-6PM)
We provide an after-school yoga program full of fun and interactive activities for girls and boys designed to promote joy in movement, physical explorations, self-expression, and self-confidence. Each class focuses on a different theme that encourages students to use their imagination and visualization. Every yoga class incorporates yoga poses, stories, games, songs, movement, and stretching to support the development of strength, flexibility, balance, and social competence. Students learn foundational and advanced yoga poses combined with breathing techniques, meditation, visualization, body awareness, social skills, flexibility, and coordination. They will also learn how to express difficult emotions, how to use relaxation tools to cope with self-regulation, and so much more.
AFTER-SCHOOL DANCE — HIP HOP, CONTEMPORARY, & MODERN DANCE ( 3-6PM)
We provide an after-school dance program filled with high-energy creative movement classes for girls and boys that combine Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Modern styles to promote fitness with easy-to-follow dance steps and great music. During class, students are encouraged to use their imagination to develop gross motor skills, coordination, and balance. Students will have fun exploring rhythm, count beats, and choreography patterns in an exciting and upbeat dance form. Dance is a wonderful outlet for self-expression that promotes a healthy self-esteem, strong focus, and exercise.
